2021, What is Our Message?

As the pandemic continues into 2021, what is the message for musicians and performing arts groups? So many people, businesses and institutions have been impacted. The challenges and closures of restaurants and bars have been well documented. Actors, musicians, dancers and other artists have been dealt a double blow. Many work in the hospitality industry to supplement their true passion -- performing for live audiences. In many cases the pandemic took both away. It's hard. 

As we look ahead to the time when theaters and music halls reopen, when outdoor music festivals resume, let's send a message of the joy we will all share when we can gather again. Even if those days are months away, talking about it will help us all.

2021 Is Here! What Does That Mean?

We all look forward to the new year and the celebrations on New Year's Eve. This year, traditional celebrations are not happening. However, we cannot wait to turn the calendar to 2021 as we stay at home/gather with those in our pod. We can still watch the ball drop, connect over zoom or facetime and watch the skies for fireworks. 

The pandemic has impacted everyone: retrictions are hard; many strugged with COVID-19 and thousands of families lost loved ones. This new year brings promising vaccines and hope that we can return to the lifestyle we crave. 

Things are picking up with several clients continuing with virtual events next month and a couple of organizaions looking/hoping to host outdoor events this summer. It has been so long since we gatheried in large groups--with people we don't know. Imagine music in parks, theater on outdoor stages, great food seated in a restaurant. It is coming! 2021 is here!
